2025 Know the Snow Skimo Rando Race

About this Event

Come join us at Purgatory Ski Resort for the 6th annual Skimo (Rando) Race, a benefit and fundraiser for Know the Snow Fund, a local nonprofit dedicated to increasing accessibility to avalanche education for all ages to build a more aware community of backcountry enthusiasts in the San Juan Mountains.

Event Details

• Two course options: approximately 9.5 miles or 5.5 miles
• All levels of experience are welcomed
• 100% of race entry goes towards the Know the Snow Fund

Registration & Packet Pickup

We STRONGLY encourage early registration to secure your spot: $45/race entry. Check-in starts at 7 am and must be completed by 7:45 am.

Rules

• Must have breaks or leashes
• Everything you bring up must come down
• Stick to the Course while coming down; no cutting corners
• Helmet recommended
• If you see an injury, contact the closest race marshal
• Have fun! Everything from Skin Suits to Costumes is encouraged
