2025 Provincetown Polar Bear Plunge

Event Details

On New Year's Day 2025, Provincetown will celebrate the ninth annual Polar Bear Plunge! At noon, weather permitting, registrants will run, splash, and plunge into the waters of Provincetown Harbor.

Courses and Registration

Two types of registration are available:

• Single Registration: $60.00
• Team Registration: $60.00 (2-5 members, each with a personal fundraising goal of at least $100)

What to Expect

Before the plunge, participants will enjoy music from DJ Chris Racine, complimentary refreshments, and will receive a commemorative t-shirt. All registrants must arrive by 11:30 AM, with plunging starting at noon!

Awards

Awards will be given in the following categories:

• Top Single-Registration Fundraiser
• Top Team-Registration Fundraisers
• Best Individual Look
• Best Team Look

Safety Precautions

All plungers MUST wear water shoes to prevent injury from sharp rocks or oyster shells. Limited water shoes will be available for purchase at the event.

Fundraising

This event supports The Center for Coastal Studies. Participants are encouraged to pledge additional fundraising efforts, but it's not required. Virtual participation is also welcomed!
