California Gold Rush Trail Run - Fall

About the Event

This event takes place entirely within the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park, nestled in the picturesque foothills of Coloma along the south fork of the American River. The park is historically significant as the site where gold was discovered in 1848, sparking the gold rush and leading to California’s rapid rise to statehood.

Runners can expect a diverse course that includes appealing single-track dirt trails along with a few paved sections. The terrain features moderately technical ascents and descents, switchbacks, and sections with rolling hills and flat stretches, providing a well-rounded running experience enhanced by scenic views and abundant wildlife.

The race will be held rain or shine, but participants should prepare for potentially cold morning temperatures in Coloma. It's important to note that strollers are not permitted on the course. A time limit of 4.5 hours is enforced for all participants.
