Groundhog Grind Trail Run

Location: Thomas Mitchell Park, east of Altoona, IA

Course Information

Choose between the 10k or 5k courses that explore the beautiful trails of Thomas Mitchell Park. The 10k consists of two loops while the 5k is one loop. The course will be marked with paint on snow, tree ribbons, and cones with directional arrows.

Registration Details

All registrations are $40 for either the 5k or 10k event. Hoodies are not guaranteed if registering after January 15th. Online registration only. NO BIB TRANSFERS, REFUNDS, or DEFERRALS.

Weather Policy

Due to potential trail closures based on conditions dictated by the Polk County Conservation department, be prepared for possible changes. We encourage early registration to help ensure a successful event!

Packet Pickup

Early pickup TBD. Packet pickup on race day will start at 9 AM and go until 9:45 AM.
