Event Overview

The Hell Creek Half & 50k is presented by Ultraverse Supplements and is set to take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025. The 50k starts at 7:30 AM followed by the ½ Marathon at 8:00 AM.

Race Details

Location: Switchgrass trail head, near Switchgrass Restroom parking lot, Sylvan Grove, KS
Elevation Gain: 50k - approx. 3000 ft; ½ Marathon - approx. 1300 ft
Check-in: Early check-in available the night prior; race day check-in times vary.

Course Description

The event will take place entirely on the Switchgrass Mountain Bike Trail which is noted for its rugged yet runnable terrain. The course features beautiful views of Wilson State Park and Wilson Lake.

Aid Stations

Two aid stations will be located at the start/finish and at Hell Hill, offering a variety of ultra food and beverages.

Swag

Participants will receive a dri-fit tank top and finishers medal, with special awards for top finishers in each distance.
