JMF Trails Hillbilly Half

The 10th annual JMF Trails Hillbilly Half will take place on November 23, 2024, at Jefferson Memorial Forest in Louisville, KY. This challenging half marathon is set in the beautiful trails of the forest, offering a unique experience for runners.

Course Overview

The race begins at the parking lot for Horine, leading runners around the lake and down the Yost Ridge Trail to the Welcome Center. Participants will then pick up the Siltstone Trail, running past Bearcamp Road to a turnaround on the ridge. Expect a tough course with significant elevation changes, making it a true test of endurance.

Aid Stations

Aid will be available at miles 2, 5, 8, and 11, stocked with drinks and snacks to keep you fueled throughout the race. Runners are encouraged to bring their own gels and a reusable cup for hydration.

Registration Information

Registration is currently open, with a price of $76.20, which includes taxes and fees. Please note that refunds are not available, but deferrals to the following year are permitted.

Time Limit

There is a strict 6-hour time limit for the race. Runners not on pace to finish within this time will have their timing chips removed for safety reasons.
