Light the Way 5k

Event Details

The 2024 Light the Way 5k and free 1/2 Mile Kid's Run will take place at the Fort Missoula Regional Park on Saturday, December 21st.

This festive evening run features colorful lights around the course, holiday music, cookies, and hot chocolate. Christmas cookies and hot cocoa served at the finish!

Registration

Registration is open from October 22nd to November 30th for $25, and from December 1st to December 21st (Race Day) for $30.

Schedule

• 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Race Day Packet Pick Up in the Runner's Edge Basement
• 4:45 PM - 5:45 PM: Race Day Packet Pick Up at Fort Missoula Regional Park
• 5:30 PM: Kid's Half Mile Fun Run (Free)
• 6:00 PM: Light the Way 5k Start
• 6:15 PM – 7:30 PM: Cookies and Cocoa
• 6:30 PM: Ugly Sweater Contest and Awards Ceremony for top 3 men and women

Runners Receive

• A 5k course lined with luminaires
• Finish line cookies, candy canes, and cocoa
• Meet and take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus
• Ugly Sweater Contest
• Custom Race Bib
• Chip timing
• A chance to celebrate the holiday season with friends, family, and the Missoula running community!

Parking

Parking for Fort Missoula Regional Park is located on the South side of the soccer fields.
