What is a Backyard Ultra?

A backyard ultra is a unique ultramarathon where runners must complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour. The race continues until one runner remains, who will be crowned the winner. This event is dedicated to honoring the memory of those lost to suicide, with 50% of profits supporting the 988 Suicide & Crisis Prevention hotline and the Lions Club park.

Course Description

The course features a 4.167-mile loop through scenic trails and paved paths. Participants will enjoy shaded routes through forests and open fields, ensuring a beautiful running experience.

Awards

The winner will receive a custom lion king belt buckle, a $250 cash prize, and a place in the "Royal Family" Hall of Fame. All finishers will receive a ribbon indicating their completed laps.

Registration and Fees

Registration is priced at $76.81 ($88.24 after Sep 17), which includes all taxes and fees. Packet pickup will be available on October 17 and 18, leading up to the race.

Aid and Amenities

Aid stations will be present throughout the course, and participants will have access to facilities and charging stations at the park.
