Red Moshannon Downriver Race

Time: Noon Start

Location: Peale Bridge, Grassflat, PA, with the finish at Route 53 Bridge.

Course Information

The race covers a 7.5-mile stretch of Moshannon Creek, with varying difficulty levels. This section is rated Class II+ when at moderate levels, and extra flotation for boats is highly recommended due to potential for capsizing.

Registration

Registration closes on March 10, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET. No day-of-event registration will be available.

Awards Banquet

An awards banquet will take place immediately after the race at Saint Severin social hall in Drifting, PA.

Rules & Regulations

• Life jackets must be worn properly during the race.
• All boats in Canoe and SUP divisions must be propelled with single blade paddles.
• No rudders or skegs allowed.
• Helmets required for kayaks, decked canoes, and SUPs.
• Minimum age for solo paddlers is 16, with exceptions for youth classes.
