Run For Resiliency

Welcome to the inaugural Run For Resiliency 5K race! This special event is organized to support the Afghan Special Operations Community, a key ally to the U.S. Military, and their resettlement in the United States. By participating in this race, you are helping to bridge the gaps in the system and anticipate the long-term needs of these brave men and women.

Your support will enable Afghan Special Operations Veterans, along with their families, to build resilience and fully integrate into their American communities, ultimately achieving their American Dream. Join us in making a tangible difference in the lives of those who have served alongside us.

About Honor the Promise Organization

Honor the Promise is a dedicated 501(c)(3) organization committed to assist our Afghan Army Special Forces allies who were evacuated and relocated to the United States.

About the 5K Race

The Run for Resiliency 5K race is more than just a run; it's a statement of solidarity and support for the Afghan Special Operations Community. Event Details

Location: Fort Hunt Park, 8999 Fort Hunt Road, Alexandria, Virginia 22308. We will be gathering at Picnic Area C-001 which offers ample parking in a paved lot. Take the exit for Fort Hunt Park and follow the signs to the park and our specific picnic area.

Race Day Schedule: Race Start: 8:15 AM, Announcements & Awards: 10:00 AM. Guaranteed T-shirt if you register by: 9/20/24. Finisher Medal, Water & refreshments, Aid Station, Free downloadable photos.
