Running of the Elves

Event Details

The Running of the Elves is a 1-mile race that takes place in downtown Hillsborough, NC, before the Holiday Parade.

Date and Time

Date: December 8, 2024

Start Time: 4:00 PM EST

Course Information

The race starts 10 minutes before the Parade and follows the same route, allowing participants to run fast downhill in front of thousands of cheering spectators.

Registration

The entry fee is $20, which covers race entry before any add-ons such as a shirt, hat, and bells. Pets and strollers are welcome!

Packet Pickup

• December 2, 2024 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Eno River Farmers Market
• December 8, 2024 - 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the start line

Location

The race starts on Mitchell Street and finishes on Churton Street, outside the Historic Courthouse.

Chip timing is provided by Cardinal Race Timing.

Dress Code

Participants are encouraged to wear an Elf-themed shirt and hat, or their favorite Elf costume!

The event promises a fun and festive atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
