Swamp Fox Ultra

Welcome to the Swamp Fox Ultra presented by Fleet Feet and Billy Simons Real Estate under management of Palmetto Ultras! This trail race spans across the entire Francis Marion National Forest, offering a unique and challenging experience for all participants.

About The Race

Embark on a truly unparalleled trail racing experience, as our event is the only trail race that spans across the entire Francis Marion National Forest. The course offers breathtaking lowcountry trails and demands strategic planning to ensure you're well-equipped throughout.

Packet Pickup & Pre Race Fun

Packet Pickup will take place on Friday, November 1st from 2-6pm at one of the Fleet Feet locations. Hitting up packet pick up the day before gives you a chance to support one of our sponsors and pick up any last minute nutrition/gear that you may need.

Aid Stations

Aid stations will be located along the entire course, fully stocked with all your favorite ultra snacks and drinks. Restrooms are available at Buck Hall Recreation Area and aid stations will have porta potties.

Course Overview & Pacers

The course traverses the Awendaw and Swamp Fox Passages of the Palmetto Trail, offering a flat and runnable trail with some roots and boardwalks. The trail is mostly shaded and well-marked with flagging and signage.

Start Times & Cutoffs

All distances will start at 7am on Saturday, November 2nd at Buck Hall Recreation Area. Cut off times vary for each distance, so make sure to check the specific cutoff times for your chosen distance.

Swag & Awards

All participants will receive an orange hat with the event logo. Finishers will receive a vest embroidered with the logo, and 100 mile finishers will get a custom made buckle. Top finishers for each distance will also receive awards.

Volunteers

Volunteers can earn free/discounted race entries by helping out at the event. Camping options are available for participants starting from Friday, November 1st.

Night Running

Participants in the 50 miler and 100 miler are required to have some form of light once it gets dark out. Make sure to come prepared with a light source.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

The race will take place rain or shine, and there are no refunds. Distance changes and bib transfers are allowed up to a certain point before the race.
