The Great Canal Walk: XNJ

About this event

The event lasts 9 hours and is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy nature and long-distance walking. The walk will start at Turning Basin Park in Princeton. For early risers, there's an optional start at Trenton Transit Center at 6 am. The finish line is at New Brunswick Station.

• Distance: 28/40 miles
• Terrain: Mostly gravel
• Difficulty: Expert - a challenging distance

This walk is part of the ECG trail from Trenton to New York City. You may complete the challenge over three to five days, with options to walk 28 miles from Princeton or 40 miles from Trenton.

Transportation

• Transit: NJ Transit or Septa to Trenton or Princeton Station
• Parking: Free parking available at Princeton Station and Turning Basin Park

Bring plenty of fluids and food for the journey, as there are no provisions along the way.
