The HOWUM

A 30 mile challenge into the Heartlands of Wales and the source of the River Severn. An ultra marathon designed to discover everything mid Wales has to offer. Come for breathtaking scenery and excellent race support.

Event Details

The HOWUM takes place on Saturday, 3rd May 2025, starting at 7:00 am. Participants will embark on a 30 mile loop that includes four spectacular trails: the Sarn, Glyndwr's Way, Severn Way, and Wye Walk. With a total ascent of 4400 feet, this is quite the challenge, but don't fear - this event had a finish rate of 100% last year.

What’s Included

All participants will receive a finisher's medal, post-race care, and access to fully stocked checkpoints along the route. The Pegasus Crew will provide amazing help and support throughout the event.

Registration and Kit List

Registration opens at 5:30 am, followed by a morning stretch and pre-event chat. Participants are advised to bring running shoes, a water bottle, a mobile phone, a compass, a headlamp, a foil blanket, a waterproof jacket, and a backpack.
