The Wooodlands Triathlon 2025 (Sprint Distance)

Event Details

The Woodlands Triathlon will take place Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Northshore Park from 7 to 11 a.m. As one of the premier multi-sport events in the region, The Woodlands Triathlon is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department and offers high-caliber competition, first-rate race management, and scenic courses.

Race Distances

• Swim Distance: 500 Meter Open Swim
• Bike Distance: 12.8 Mile Bike
• Run Distance: 5K Run

The event will feature a field of 800 participants, ranging from beginners to nationally ranked triathletes. The race culminates with a festive awards party featuring music, great food, and beverages.

Eligibility

The minimum age to participate is 13 years. The Qualified/Open Category is recommended for highly competitive athletes. Various categories are available such as Individual/Age Group, Clydesdale, and Athena. The race caps will ensure safety and a positive racing experience for all.

Race Day Schedule

• 5:30 a.m. - Transition Opens
• 6:45 a.m. - Transition Closes
• 7 a.m. - First Wave Out
• 8 a.m. - Post-Race Celebration Begins
• 9:20 a.m. - Bike Course Closes
• 9:45 a.m. - Awards Ceremony
• 10:30 a.m. - Transition Opens
• 11:00 a.m. - Post-Race Celebration Ends
