Valley of Hartford 5K Road Race

Race Overview

The annual Valley of Hartford 5K Road Race raises funds to support the Children’s Dyslexia Centers of Connecticut. These centers offer one-on-one tutorial sessions to children valued at $5000 each and also provide teacher training programs valued at $10,000 per tutor.

Details

The race will be timed using the Trident RFID racing system, with results managed by Payne's Corner Timing.

All first 200 registrants will receive FREE T-SHIRTS! Participants will have access to an assortment of baked goods, fruits, Gatorade, and water for hydration.

Awards

Trophies will be awarded for the top finishers in various age divisions for both male and female categories. Overall Race Winner trophies will also be given for 1st place Male and Female.

Course Description

A scenic two loop course that starts and ends at the Scottish Rite Building. Expect moderate hills and plenty of water stations with volunteers along the route.

Parking

Parking is available only at Lay-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, located at 3050 Berlin Turnpike, Newington. Please enter through the Sphinx Shriners entrance.

Rest Areas

Indoor restrooms will be available and fully air-conditioned for the comfort of all participants.
