Whitefish Whiteout

About the Event

The Whitefish Whiteout is a ski mountaineering race set to last 10 hours. Participants will navigate an up and down course throughout the USFS permit area, showcasing their mountaineering skills, skiing ability, and endurance. With distances up to 9 miles and significant vertical climbs, this event promises to be both challenging and rewarding.

Courses

There are multiple courses designed for various skill levels:

• Black (Long) Course: $100
• Blue (Medium) Course: $75
• Green (Short) Course: $50
• Ascent Only: $30

Registration

Pre-registration is mandatory. All participants must check in at Ed & Mully's at least 2 hours before the race start. Fees include a Whiteout T-shirt for the first 150 registrants. USSMA licenses are required for Black Course participants and racers aged 18 and younger on the Blue Course.

Timing and Awards

This year's event will feature chip timing, immediate results, and various prizes sponsored by local businesses. Cash prizes will also be awarded for top finishers in each division.

Important Information

Helmets are mandatory, and racers are advised to bring personal gear such as a small backpack for essentials. No aid stations will be provided along the course, so participants must be self-sufficient.
