Whispering Pines 12 Hour Event

Event Details

The Whispering Pines 12 Hour event takes place on February 1, 2025, beginning at 7:00 AM. The event is designed for participants of all ages and abilities, allowing everyone to run or walk a beautiful 5-mile loop. With the course being open for 12 hours, you can choose how far you wish to go!

Course Information

The loop starts and ends at the pavilion near parking lot B and the playground. The course comprises mostly single-track and double-track trails that wind through shaded areas of the park.

Participants will check in with the timing crew after each loop. For anyone completing at least 2 loops, a finisher award will be presented.

Aid Station

There will be an aid station at the Start/Finish area, complete with typical aid station refreshments. Participants are encouraged to bring additional items to share.

Registration

Registration for the event is free but required. It will remain open until January 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET.

Directions and Accommodations

For directions to start, follow Highway 44 West/West Main Street, turning onto Forest Drive at the intersection. Various motels and camping options are available nearby, but no overnight camping is allowed within Whispering Pines Park.
