Join us for the Chemours Mole Day 6K at Indian Acres Park in Marietta, OH on October 23rd. This event offers two options: the Mole Day 6K Run and the Mole Day 6K Walk. The run covers a distance of 3.6 miles, while the walk distance is yet to be determined.
The registration fee for both events is $20.00 for early bird registration and $25.00 for regular registration. All proceeds from this event will go towards the Walker Prize Endowment, which supports a Summer Research Fellowship in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Marietta College.
In the past, the Mole Day 6K has successfully raised funds to endow a scholarship in honor of retired Biochemistry professor Dr. Bob Walker. Now, our new goal is to bring the Walker Prize Endowment to a level that will allow the Department to support a Summer Research Fellowship. We also hope to name this Fellowship in honor of Dr. Richard Krause, a major benefactor of the Department and the former director of the NIH's Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases.
By participating in the Mole Day 6K, you will not only have a great time running or walking through the scenic Indian Acres Park, but you will also be supporting a worthy cause. So lace up your running shoes or grab your walking buddies and join us for a fun-filled day of fitness and fundraising. Register now to secure your spot in this exciting event!
