Día de los Muertos/ Day of the Dead- 5K Run/Walk

Join us for the First Annual Día del los Muertos/ Day of the Dead 5K Walk & Run hosted by Adelante Inc. This event will take place on November 5th, 2023 at Wicker Memorial Park in Highland, IN. Adelante Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the Latino/Hispanic community in Northwest Indiana.

The race will be a timed 5K and registration will be available on race day starting at 7:00AM in the Pavillion. Before October 18th, registration fees are $10 for participants aged 12 and younger and $25 for all others. After October 18th, the fees increase to $15 for kids and $30 for adults.

Bib and shirt pickup will be available on race day starting at 7:30AM and on Friday, November 3rd at the Breezeway inside Wicker Park from 4PM-6PM. T-shirts are included for all participants who register by the early registration deadline. Limited availability of shirts after the deadline, so register early to guarantee yours.

Awards will be given to the top female and male overall, as well as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each division. There will also be prizes for the best Dia de los Muertos costume/makeup.

Divisions include 0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. There is also a Masters division for participants aged 40 and over.
