About the Event
Welcome to the Frozen Goat, the third race of the Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series! This exciting event will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 8:00 AM in the beautiful Monte Sano State Park, Huntsville, AL.
Event Overview
The Frozen Goat features three race distances: 30K, 15K, and 4 Miler, catering to both new and experienced trail runners. This series is designed to help runners build their endurance through the winter months while enjoying the stunning mountain scenery.
Registration Details
Registration is capped at 400 runners, and prices include taxes and fees. Participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher award. Please note that all races are cupless, so bring your own reusable cup or purchase one at checkout.
Aid Stations and Support
Aid stations will be available throughout the courses, providing water, Gatorade, GU, and snacks. Enjoy delicious Marco's Pizza at the finish line!
Weather and Cutoffs
Average temperatures on race day are expected to be a high of 52°F and a low of 31°F. There will be loose cutoffs for the 4 Mile and 15K, while the 30K has a hard cutoff of 5 hours and 30 minutes.
