Sandhills Trail Race Series

ultra running club that promotes and supports the sport of ultrarunning in South Carolina and beyond. Membership includes discounts on races, access to training resources, and a community of like-minded runners.

The Sandhills Trail Race Series offers something for every level of runner, from the challenging 100-mile Sandhills 30 Hour to the more accessible Sesqui 7.5 Mile. The courses wind through the scenic Sesquicentennial State Park, offering a mix of single track trails, wider paths, and paved sections. The event is walker, dog, and stroller-friendly, and youth 8 and under race for free.

Participants receive a finisher medal, custom race logo sticker, and Upstate Ultra sticker, as well as complimentary race photos, custom race bib, and Upstate Race Series crew socks. Top finishers receive custom hand-made awards, and age group winners are recognized in the results tab and point series.

Volunteers can earn a free race entry or future race entry by helping with set-up, packet pickup, course monitoring, meal/aid station prep, cleanup, or parking.

Camping is available through the park, and meal options are offered for runners looking to refuel after the race. Proceeds from club memberships and donations go towards funding the Upstate Running Club Youth Team, which provides free training services, equipment, and race entries to young athletes.
