Soapstone Mountain Trail Races

Event Overview

The Soapstone Mountain Trail Races are popular, long-standing races in North Central Connecticut offering two distances: a 25k (approx. 15.5 miles) and the Jerry Stage 6k "Sampler". Both races run through the extremely beautiful and scenic area around Soapstone Mountain.

Day-of Logistics

Day-of registration will start at 7:45 AM. The 25k race starts at 9:00 AM, followed by the 6k at 9:15 AM. We encourage walkers in the Sampler, and a 5-hour finish is required for the 25k.

Please remember to carry your own water container as this year’s race will be cppless. There will be three aid stations for the 25k course; no aid will be provided on the 6K course.

Race Course

The 25k course features challenging climbs, beautiful switchbacks, and scenic views, while the 6k Sampler offers a delightful, less strenuous trail run. Review the maps and be familiar with the course as parking will be on private property.

Benefactors

Proceeds support Connecticut trail stewardship organizations such as the Connecticut Forest and Park Association and Northern Connecticut Land Trust.
