The UC Army ROTC Norwegian Foot March is a 30km/18.6mile march (march/run) with rucksack containing 11kg (24 lbs). The event, first held in 1915 as a test of marching endurance for soldiers in the Norwegian Military, aims to stimulate the general interest of marching over extended distances amongst military and civilian personnel. Participants will need to meet time standards per the Guidelines for the Norwegian Foot March v1.6 to earn the Foreign Badge. The event will take place at Lunken Playfield in Cincinnati, OH. Rucks will need to make weight prior to and following completion of the ruck. For those living locally, packets can be picked up from the University of Cincinnati Army ROTC office from 0830-1630, Mon-Fri located at 2585 Dennis St #1100, Cincinnati, OH 45219. Prior coordination should be made using the organization information provided to ensure the packet is ready. All participants will begin the ruck at 0700. Uniform and rucksack regulations are in place to ensure the correct weight and requirements are maintained. For more information, please contact CDT Jason Keith at
