2026 Block Island Half Marathon

The 7th Annual Block Island Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, October 11th, 2026. The start and finish line will be at the Fred Benson Town Beach Pavilion.

The course begins with a flat stretch heading north, followed by a gentle incline to steeper hills and turns. Runners will experience views of the Great Salt Pond, beach dunes, and The North Lighthouse. After reaching the North Light, participants will embark on a challenging loop around the west side of the island, featuring rolling pastures, stone walls, farmhouses, and the Atlantic Ocean. The final stretch includes a descent down Airport Hill before returning to the Pavilion.
