2026 EMERSON'S DUNEDIN MARATHON

Welcome to EMERSON'S DUNEDIN MARATHON

The 46th Dunedin Marathon running and walking races, organised by Caversham Harrier and Athletic Club in Dunedin, New Zealand will be held on Sunday 13th September 2026 consisting of 6 events:

• Full Marathon Run
• Half Marathon Run
• Half Marathon Recreational Walk
• 10 km Run
• 10 km Recreational Walk
• 5 km Fun Run and Walk

All events will again finish going down the Ward St ramp, after crossing the railway bridge overlooking Emerson’s Brewery. The marathon will start at the Portobello Recreation Reserve, head northeast up the peninsula, turning around between Penguin Place and Te Rauone Reserve, then heading back to the city to finish outside Emerson’s. All the other courses start at a location close to the finish overlooking Emerson’s.
