2026 Glow and Go (5K)

Event Details

The Glow and Go 5K will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, along The Woodlands Waterway beginning at 6 p.m. This event is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department and is a USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned event. The chip-timed 5K course will incorporate the full length of the Waterway, providing a scenic route and fun, enjoyable atmosphere fostering friendly competition. The 5K race is open to runners of all abilities and recommended for participants ages 10 and older. Runners are encouraged to dress in their best holiday attire and glow!

There will not be an Awards Ceremony, but awards will be distributed onsite. A photo area will be available for participants.

Registration

The registration fee of $35 includes a finisher medal and participant packet. Please Note: A participant shirt is not included, but can be purchased for an additional $15. There is very limited availability for sizes, and shirts must be purchased by November 7, 2026. If inventory permits, shirts will be available for purchase at Packet Pickup for an additional cost ($20 per t-shirt). There will be no Race Day Registration.

STROLLERS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE COURSE PER USATF SANCTION REQUIREMENTS!

Policies

• Refund Policy: 100 percent of your entry fee will be refunded until November 14, 2026. Refunds will not include Active.com processing fee. Refunds can take up to 3 weeks for processing. Please email the department to request a refund.
• Transfer Policy: Entry fees are nontransferable from year to year. Transfers must be completed by November 14, 2026, by logging into your Active website account and selecting "My Events." If you need assistance, please email the department.
• Weather Cancellations: We have a "no refund policy" in regards to weather cancellations of any kind as well as changes to the race after registration. Unforeseen changes can occur at any time. Any changes made to the race are done after careful consideration, usually due to safety concerns.
