2026 Lake Chabot Trail Challenge (Half Marathon & 5K)

Events:

• Half Marathon: 8:00 AM PDT - 12:30 PM PDT
• 5K Run: 8:30 AM PDT - 10:30 AM PDT

Race Info: This is the 42nd annual Lake Chabot Trail Challenge. The half marathon is a scenic, hilly loop on dirt fire roads, with views of Lake Chabot, Mt. Diablo, and the San Francisco Bay. The 5k is an out-and-back course with gentle rolling hills, mostly paved. Both races are chip-timed. There is a 3.5-hour time limit for the half marathon. Race takes place rain or shine; no refunds.

Race Fees:

• Half Marathon: $65 (before June 6th), $70 (race day)
• 5K Run: $40 (before June 6th), $45 (race day)

Registration: Register by Saturday, June 6th for guaranteed t-shirt (if registered by May 10th). Race day registration accepts cash, check, or Venmo.

Awards: Finisher's medals for all participants. Age division medals for the top 3 in each age group (12 divisions for half marathon, 9 for 5k).
