37th Annual Paw Paw Grape Lake 5K Run/Walk

Race Info

The 37th Annual Paw Paw Grape Lake 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The event supports United Christian Services of Eastern VBC and The Daily Recovery Zone. The race route goes around Maple Lake, starting on Lake Street near the Van Buren Community Mental Health Building and ending on Willard Street.

This event has been reviewed for physical activity content and endorsed by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports.

Courses and Prices

• Grape Lake 5K Run: Price: $40.00, Time: 9:00 AM EDT - 11:00 AM EDT. Registration Opens March 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST.
• Grape Lake 5K Walk: Price: $40.00, Time: 9:00 AM EDT - 11:00 AM EDT. Registration Opens March 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST.

Tee Shirt

Tee shirts are available during early registration, which ends on August 28th, 2026. Limited tee shirts may be available on race day.

Results and Awards

Awards will be based on actual chip time. Walkers must not run; if seen running, they will be disqualified. The awards ceremony will follow the race.

Arrival and Parking

Parking is available at the Van Buren Community Mental Health parking lot (801 Hazen Street), VBISD Transition Center parking lot (811 Hazen Street), and Tri-County Head Start parking lot (775 Hazen Street).
