The 5Point 5k is an annual event hosted by Independence Run and Hike, Valley Ortho, and 5Point Film Festival. It's a family-friendly race suitable for all paces, with age group prizes. The festival itself runs from April 21-26, 2026, celebrating adventure through film and community.

Course Details:

• Start/Finish: Independence Run & Hike in Carbondale
• Course Description: The 5k course heads west from the shop towards the Crystal River, crosses the Roaring Fork River on the Satank Bridge, connects with the Rio Grande Trail heading east, and finishes back at the shop.
