9th Annual Ryan Volker and Rose Scarpa Memorial Scholarship 5K Ninja Run

Event Details and Schedule

The 9th Annual Ninja Run continues the legacy and honors Rose Scarpa and Ryan Volker. The event aims to raise money for culinary scholarships to the Culinary Institute of America.

This year, the path has changed and Idlewild Drive is closed. The run/walk will take place along the Truckee River path.

Date and Time: Sunday, April 12, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM.

Location: Meet at the Idlewild Park Rose Garden, 75 Cowan Dr., Reno, NV 89509.

Registration:

• Individual Registration: $30 (Adults/Teens 13+), $25 (Kids 12 and under) before March 13th.
• After March 13th: $35 (Adults/Teens), $30 (Kids).
• Team Registration (3 to 13 people): $25 per runner before March 13th.
• After March 13th: $30 per runner.
• No team registration on race day.
• Online registration available until 11:59 PM on April 11th.
• Race day registration will be available (cash or check only).

Packet Pickup:

• Friday, April 11th, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Freestyle Martial Arts, 6275 Sharlands #1, Reno, NV 89523.
• Early pickup arrangements can be made by contacting Suzi.
• Packets can also be picked up on race morning at 8:00 AM at Idlewild Park.

Prizes and Giveaways:

• Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Men's and Women's divisions.
• Free T-shirt for registrations by April 3rd.
• Raffle prizes include gift certificates and gift baskets.
