American River Parkway Half Marathon 2026

This annual community race event has achieved many milestones over the past 19 years, including being the first half marathon along the American River Parkway and the first Spring-time half marathon in the Sacramento region. It was also the first, and for nearly a decade, the ONLY race event to donate 100% of its proceeds to benefit the American River Parkway. To date, over $400,000 has been donated! These donations have helped fund Parkway enhancements such as habitat restoration, invasive plant removal, trash clean up, kids’ interactive nature trails, and new drinking fountain installations. The race is a great way to get outside and have fun with family and friends along the scenic course, with friendly volunteers, talented musicians, and a bagpipe processional. Come on out for the race, stay for the party, and support your Parkway along the way!

CANCELLATION POLICY: All entry fees are non-refundable, but entries are transferable (small transfer fee applies).

Event Information: The Parkway Half Marathon is the only race with two separate courses - one for runners and one for walkers. Both courses are flat, fast, and shady, traveling along the American River Parkway. Each course features numerous aid stations with ice-cold water and Gatorade, live bands along the course, and a post-race lunch and celebration.
