Behind the Rocks Ultra

Event Overview

The Behind the Rocks Ultra starts and finishes at the Behind the Rocks Trail, near the breathtaking Behind the Rocks Wilderness Study Area. This ultra showcases Moab's spectacular Navajo Sandstone formations, providing a unique mix of terrain from smooth double-track to challenging singletrack trails.

Course Details

Participants can choose from several distances: 50 Miler, 50K, 30K, and 10 Miler. While the 10 Mile and 30K are beginner-friendly, the 50 mile course presents a rigorous challenge with technical sections and stunning views of arches and rock formations.

Event Amenities

Enjoy free camping at the start/finish line. You are encouraged to bring your cooler filled with refreshments to enjoy after the race.

• 50K: 7:00 AM
• 30K: 8:00 AM
• 10 Miler: 8:30 AM
