Blue Heron Hundreds

Event Overview

The Blue Heron Hundreds races will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, starting at 6:00 AM at Wheeler Wildlife Refuge in Mooresville, Alabama.

• Distances: 100 Mile, 100K, 40 Miler, Marathon
• Location: 4865 Arrowhead Landing Road, Mooresville, AL 35649
• Registration closes: March 26, 2025, at 11:59 PM CT

Course Information

The courses will be conducted on soft crushed gravel and dirt roads through the wildlife refuge, starting with a 20 mile loop. Specific course distances include:

• 100 Mile: 5 laps of the 20 mile loop
• 100K: 3 laps of the 20 mile loop (final loop is 12 miles)
• 40 Miler: 2 laps of the 20 mile loop
• Marathon: 1 lap of the 20 mile loop plus a 6.2 mile loop

Aid Stations

Aid stations will provide a variety of refreshments including water, energy drinks, snacks, and hot foods at designated stops along the course.

Pacing and Crew Information

Pacers will be allowed for the 100 mile and 100K events starting at specific distances. Crewing is restricted to the start/finish area due to access limitations on the course.

Awards

Finishers will receive medals or other special awards based on their race performance.

Parking and Logistics

There will be designated areas for parking depending on the race distance, and options will be available for setting up tents for support crews.
