Bob Long Memorial Mutt Run

Join us for the Bob Long Memorial Mutt Run, a fun-filled event for all dog lovers and their furry friends! The event will take place on Saturday, September 18th, 2021, at the Claremont Launch Ramp in Long Beach, California. The race course follows along the scenic Long Beach shoreline, providing a beautiful backdrop for your run or walk.

We offer two courses to choose from: the Mutt Run 5k and the Mutt Run 1k. The 5k starts at 9:00 am, and the 1k starts at 9:30 am. All breeds of dogs are welcome, not just mutts! You can run or walk at your own pace, with or without your dog. However, dogs must be leashed and stay on the pedestrian path at all times. They must also be well-behaved and non-aggressive with people and other dogs, as well as current on all vaccines.

All participants will receive a dog tag that says "I ran with my best friend" and a t-shirt. After the race, join us for a post-race festival and adoption event by the Long Beach Animal Care Services at the finish line. We aim to find homes for dogs, one at a time.

The post-race celebration will take place at the Belmont Brewing Company at the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier. 70% of the proceeds will support the Long Beach Animal Care Services, while 30% will go toward the community project fund at Signal Hill Rotary.
