Boilermaker Walk presented by Slocum-Dickson Medical Group

Event Details

The Boilermaker Walk presented by Slocum-Dickson Medical Group is a community event designed to encourage participants to get out and move as part of the larger Boilermaker Experience. The walk is not timed and should not be considered a competitive endeavor.

Course Information

The 'out and back' course is approximately 3 1/2 miles (5.6 km) long, starting and finishing from the MVCC Utica campus. It makes its way along Culver Avenue and into T.R. Proctor Park and F.T. Proctor Park, highlighting Utica's historic parks designed by the Olmsted's. Participants can choose to walk the full distance or turn around at earlier marked points.

• Walk Start: 11:00 AM EDT
• Walk End: 1:00 PM EDT
• Registration Opens: April 1, 2026 at 8:00 AM EDT

Packet Pickup

Commemorative Walk Bibs can be picked up at the Performance Gym on the MVCC Utica campus:

• Friday, July 11th: 12:00 PM (noon) - 7:00 PM
• Saturday, July 12th: 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM

Finishers will receive a Finisher's Pin at the finish line.

Important Notes

• The walk starts promptly at 11:00 AM. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
• This is a rain or shine event.
• The course is primarily on asphalt and concrete but may include grass and curbs.
