Cedro Peak Trail Run

The Cedro Peak Trail Run features 50K and 25K distances. The event takes place in the Cibola National Forest on beautiful single track and jeep dirt trails which wind through ponderosa pine and pinon forests, scrub oak, and meadow areas. With views of the Sandia and Manzano Mountains, both routes are a good mix of climbs and descents as well as very runnable flatter sections. The terrain ranges from flowy single track to technical rocky sections. The Cedro Peak Trail Run is the original ultra trail race in the East Mountain/Cibola National Forest just east of Albuquerque, and has enjoyed a long history of participants from both local and out of state; many of whom return to run the event year after year. This is an event operated by local runners and volunteers for runners and for the love of trail running and community. Participation will be limited to an overall 300 with a waitlist. Entry includes a race t-shirt, finisher award to all who complete their race, professional photography, race timing, post-race refreshments, well stocked aid stations and amazing volunteers. NOTE: Due to our vendor's production time, we cannot guarantee a shirt and/or your preferred size after April 1, 2026.

Rules

• No refunds or rollovers. Transfers to a different distance in the same event year or to another runner are allowed with approval of the race director.
• The race director reserves the right to cancel the race due to adverse conditions beyond our control, i.e., National Forest closures, wildfire threat, etc.
• The race director reserves the right to modify the course due to National Forest Service guidelines that may be in effect.

Volunteers

These races simply cannot take place without the help of a team of volunteers. We are always in need of volunteers and volunteering is a great way to contribute to the running community and to see your friend/family member on the course! Bring a friend or two and spend a day out in the mountains with us! We will feed you and provide you with some great race swag for your help! You can even run one of the races and still help volunteer. We are in need of aid station volunteers, parking coordinators, awards, sweepers, event set up and breakdown. Volunteers are eligible for reduced or free entry to a future Cedro Peak/Three Peaks Racing Event.
