The Great Salt Pond Swim 11 - 2026

Great Swimming Opportunity for First-time Open Water Swimmers and Experienced Swimmers. The Committee for the Great Salt Pond’s annual swim, The Great Salt Pond Swim 11-2026 will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 on Block Island, Rhode Island. This will be a (1) one mile swim limited to 150 individuals, starting at Andy’s Way Beach, swimming out toward Beane Point, and returning to Andy’s Way Beach.

The swimmer registration fee for this event is $60.00, and on-line registration opens on October 1, 2025. This is a great opportunity for first-time open water swimmers and experienced swimmers. The swim course is in a protected area with not much chop. In addition, the swim will take place along a straight line, marked by buoys.

This swim is an annual fundraiser, serving to support our efforts to protect The Great Salt Pond. On-Line Registration for the event opens on October 1, 2025 and will close on July 24, 2026 at 1:00 pm. On-Site Registration will be available. Please be sure to read the "Swim Participant Packet", which contains all the swim information, including the waiver form, start and packet pick-up times and other important information.
