Location: Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail, King George, VA 22485 US

The Dahlgren Trail Half Marathon is a scenic out and back course on a flat, smooth old railroad bed. All finishers receive a custom race medal. The t-shirt deadline is January 1st. The time limit for the race is 3.5 hours (approximately 16 minute/mile pace).

Virtual Race Information: This race is currently a virtual race. You can complete it anytime, anywhere between now and February 8th. Results submission is optional for participation credit in the Fredericksburg Area Running Club's Grand Prix Series.

Awards: Cash prizes for Top 3 Men and Women overall ($100, $75, $50). Age group awards for Top 3 Men and Women in various age categories. Overall awards based on Gun Time, Age Group awards based on Chip Time.

Packet Pick Up:

• Thursday, January 29th from 3pm-6pm at River Rock Outfitter, 1382 Carl D Silver Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
• Saturday, January 31st from 10:30am-12:30pm at River Rock Outfitter

Race Day Information:

• Parking opens at 7:30 am at the Route 605 Trailhead. Carpooling is recommended.
• Race day registration is open online until 8:55 am.
• Start/Finish line is at Mile Post 0 (Bloomsbury Road Trailhead).
• Gear check available for personal items (no valuables).
• Water stations at miles 1.5, 4, 6.5, 9, and 11.5. Gatorade at miles 4 and 9.
• Porta-potties at the start/finish, Mile 4, and Mile 9.

Cupless Racing: Starting in 2026, this event will be cupless to eliminate waste. Runners should carry their own hydration vessels or use a reusable SpeedCup.

Support: The race supports the Friends of the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail, a nonprofit group dedicated to trail development and maintenance.
