Event Options
Runners have the choice of THREE event options:
- 1776 5k - run through Cape Vincent carrying an American Flag of any size.
- 1776 7.76mi - quick "out-and-back" lap with an American flag or dressed in red, white, and blue.
- 1776Challenge - complete 17.76mi (two laps + 5k loop) while carrying a 3x5 American flag on a pole for the entire distance.
Requirements
All runners must provide an American flag for the first 7.76 miles. For those taking the Challenge, a 3x5 flag on a pole is mandatory for the full distance.
Participants receive a t-shirt and medal, plus enjoy light refreshments after the race. Don’t forget to stay for the '4th of July Bike Parade' following the event!
