The Hare Mountain 100 is a graduate-level, point-to-point run through some of the most isolated and rugged terrain in Arkansas, following sections of the Ozark Highlands Trail. It is known for its significant climbs and challenging nature.

When: October 23-24, 2026

Location: Haw Creek Falls Recreation Area, Hagarville, AR

Distances Offered: 50 Miler, 100 Miler, 50K, 25K

Key Features:

• The 100 Miler is a point-to-point course from Haw Creek to Shores Lake, starting at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 23rd.
• The race utilizes MAProgress for live GPS tracking and Ultrasignup for aid station times.
• The course is part of the Ozark Highlands Trail, a National Scenic Trail, and is well-marked but requires navigation skills.
• Runners must be self-sufficient and carry a GPS device with the course GPX file.
• Elevation gain for the 100-mile race is estimated between 20,000-24,400 feet.
• Runners have 38 hours to complete the 100-mile run.
• The 25K is a loop starting and finishing at Shores Lake with ~3500' elevation gain.
• The 50K is an out-and-back from Shores Lake with 7200+ feet of elevation gain.
• The 50 Miler is an out-and-back from Shores Lake with 12,000' of elevation gain.
• The event is a UTMB Index race, offering qualifying opportunities.
