Heroes for Military Kids 5K and Kids Dash

The AVET Project is thrilled to host its first-ever Heroes for Military Kids 5K and Kids Dash on April 11, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. at The Avenues Viera. This event honors veterans, active-duty service members, and especially their children, while raising awareness and support for healing military families.

The event includes a 5K Run/Walk and a Free Kids Fun Run (50 Yard Dash).

Timetable:

• Friday, April 10th: Packet Pickup & Registration at Running Zone (3696 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne)
• Saturday, April 11th – The Avenue:
  • 7:00 AM: Packet Pickup & Late Registration
  • 7:50 AM: Late Registration Ends
  • 8:00 AM: 5K START!
  • 9:15 AM: Free Kids Fun Run (50 Yard Dash)

Awards:

• Top 3 Overall M & F
• Top Masters M & F (40+)
• Top 3 M & F in each age group

Fees:

• Adults: $30 ($35 race day)
• Child: $25 ($30 race day)
