Iwakuni Friendship Relay Marathon 2024

About the Event

The event lasts 5 hours and 30 minutes, providing an opportunity for participants to strengthen relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors through fun activities, and also strengthen the bond between the U.S. and Japan.

Event Details

• Location: Atago Sports Complex, Iwakuni, Yamaguchi
• Participation Age: 6 years and older
• Categories for Teams:
  • General (Anyone ages 6 & older)
  • International (Combination of Japanese and foreign nationals)
  • Elementary School Students (Elementary school students only)
  • Workplace (Colleagues at work)
  • Sweets Lovers (Anyone ages 6 & older)

Registration Fees

• Ages 19 & older: ¥2,000 per runner
• Ages 16-18: ¥1,500 per runner
• Ages 6-15: ¥1,000 per runner

Event Schedule

• 6:30 AM: Parking opens
• 8:30-9:30 AM: Check-in
• 9:10 AM: Opening Remarks
• 10:00 AM: Relay Starts
• 1:00 PM: Relay Finishes
• 1:15 PM: Award Ceremony
• 2:00 PM: Expected Event Conclusion
