Race Info

The Dogs Inc's MacDill's Paws for Heroes 5k promises to be a fun event. It features chip timing on an accurate, but not certified 5k course in a scenic Tampa (Gadsden) park. Runners (and virtual runners) will receive both a shirt and finisher's medal. All funds raised will benefit the Paws for Patriots Program, which provides guide dogs for veterans with visual impairments or service dogs for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder at no cost.

FAQs

• Race cancellation due to weather will convert participants to virtual runners.
• No race day registration.
• Packet pickup on race morning at 7 AM at Gadsden Park.
• Service dogs are allowed on the course; other dogs are not.
• Finisher's medal and race shirt for all participants.
• Age group awards for 1st through 3rd in ten-year age groups.
• Virtual run is on an honor system; shirt and medal sent the week after the race.
• The race course is approximately two and a half loops at Gadsden Park.
