Welcome to Machete Trail Madness, home of the toughest Ultramarathons in the USA. Come challenge yourself with very technical terrain and soul-crushing climbs, but awesome views worth the effort. If you want an easy race to PR, this is definitely not the place, but it is many people's favorite ultra.

Our community is the best, friendly and supportive, where your family can go camping to support you and enjoy a week at the Lake. MUST register by 04/01/2026 to ensure you receive medal and participant shirt, but the race will sell out well before that, likely in the first 90 days.

Race Details

• DISTANCES: 10k, 50k, and 100k.
• COURSE: 50K Course: 10 Mile Loop with 2,300 feet of elevation gain per lap, 3 times. 100k Course: 20-mile course around the entire Lake, 3 times. This course has 4,400 feet of elevation gain per lap.
• RACE STARTS: All distances start Saturday 4/25/26 at 6:00 AM.
• CUT-OFF TIMES: 15 Hours for 50k, 30 Hours for 100k.
• AID STATIONS: Start and Finish line is your transition area. Full Aid Stations at mile 6 for 50k runners, and aid stations at mile 8 and 12.8 for 100k runners.
• CAMPING: Campground available Friday after 12:00 PM, checkout Monday by 11:00 AM. Select camping at no additional cost during registration. This is Group Tent Campground, no trailers or hookups.

This is a unique experience as it is more of a mental challenge due to the course format. Our motto is Never Give Up. You get to interact more with other runners since you are doing laps and running with each other. Your family and friends also get to see you more often and you can pack lighter as you will have the chance to reload your nutrition and hydration at each lap you complete.

The FREE camping is worth the registration fee and your family can join you. We have free professional photos at no additional cost. By far the most bang for your buck of any race out there, the Machete Madness Experience, not just a race.
