The Markel Corporate Run is the perfect opportunity to engage your team members by getting together to run or walk (we have a lot of walkers) a 5k and finish with RVA’s biggest networking event and office party. This event is a one-of-a-kind networking opportunity! Teams are treated to a pre-race warm-up before the 5k begins. Following the run or walk, individuals can head into the Hirschler Post Race Office Party to cash in their drink ticket for a complimentary beer, hard seltzer, or NA beer. To top it all off, a DJ is responsible for keeping the crowd pumped before, during, and after the 5k!

Greater Richmond Fit4Kids believes that active, well-nourished children learn more at school, have greater self-esteem, and grow to lead productive lives. They are a non-profit organization dedicated to improving children’s health and wellness by offering innovative programs that promote physical activity and healthy eating in schools, community organizations, and beyond.

Sports Backers’ mission is to inspire people to live actively. Since 1991, Sports Backers has fostered a culture of active living in Central Virginia through its participatory sporting events and community-based programs that have inspired hundreds of thousands of people in the region to set fitness goals and pursue an active lifestyle.

Cancellation Policy: Entry fees are non-refundable, even in the case of a race cancellation, postponement, event format changes, and/or if you are unable to participate. Race numbers and entries cannot be transferred to another person. No exceptions.

Event Rules: Baby joggers/strollers/carriers, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, and dogs are PROHIBITED from the course. You must be 8 years old to participate. Children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult. NO ALCOHOL may be consumed before the event. You may NOT bring outside alcohol. Everyone must vacate the post-race area by 9:00 PM following the event.
