Mattawan Wildcat Road & Trail 5K

Race Info

The Mattawan Wildcat Road & Trail 5K is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026. The event features a 5K Run/Walk with a price of $30. The race starts between 7:30 AM EDT and 9:30 AM EDT.

Course Description: This 5K includes trails. The course starts at the Elementary School, with a short paved road stretch leading toward the high school, then cuts over to a grassy area. It continues behind the Middle School, past the softball and baseball fields, and loops around the cross-country team’s bus loop before entering the wooded trail section. The course emerges back onto pavement and finishes at the Elementary School. Food and drinks will be available at the end. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Walkers and those with strollers must wait until all runners have started.

Registration Details:

• Individual Registration without t-shirt: $30 (Online until August 2nd, 7:15 am)
• Individual Registration with t-shirt: $35 (Online until July 14th, 11:59 pm)
• Family/Team Registration (limit 6 people): $125 (Until August 1st, 11:59 pm)
• Friday Registration at Early Packet Pickup: $125
• No team and family registration on race day.

Race Day Schedule (Saturday, August 2nd, 2025):

• 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM: Late packet pickup (Friday pickup encouraged)
• 7:15 AM - 7:20 AM: Participants head to starting line
• 7:20 AM: National Anthem
• 7:25 AM: Announcements
• 7:30 AM: 5K Race starts
• 8:30 AM: Overall Winner Announcements

• Saturday, August 2nd, 2025: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM

Race T-Shirts: Participants registering online by July 14th receive a t-shirt. Registrations after July 14th are not guaranteed a shirt. Extra shirts may be available for purchase ($5.00) on a first-come, first-served basis.

Awards: Finisher medals for all participants. Awards for top overall male/female finishers and top masters male/female (over 40). Team awards for overall male, female, and coed divisions. No age group awards.

Proceeds: Proceeds benefit the Mattawan Public Education Foundation (MPEF) for its Brainstrong programs.
