Miles, Moonshine, and Music. Since 2012, runners have stepped into the shadows at Moonlight Bootlegger 5K—racing through the woods like old-school outlaws, guided by headlamp and moonlight. Now in its 14th year, this after-dark adventure at Maybury State Park blends trail running, community, and celebration. You’ll wind through a mix of wide trails and flowing singletrack, lit by 300+ tea lights and well-marked for a worry-free run. Cross the finish line to live bluegrass music, then toast your escape with two moonshine cocktails or mocktails in a custom mason jar. Come with your crew, your run club, or your trail-curious friends—this is a night for new experiences and shared stories.
