Morgantown Running 5k Turkey Trot 2026 & Kids 800m Turkey Fun Run

Join Morgantown Running on Thanksgiving Day for a 5k run/walk around Morgantown. The event also features an 800m Kids Turkey Fun Run for children under 12.

5k Run/Walk Details:

• Starts at 9:00 AM.
• Course begins on the blue track by the WVU Coliseum, proceeds onto Mon Blvd, Boyers Avenue, Leeway Street, and finishes on the rail trail behind the Seneca Center at Morgantown Running.
• Awards for top 3 male and female finishers, and top male and female 5k walkers.
• Random prize drawings from Morgantown Running.
• First 1000 registered participants receive a pair of socks.
• No dogs allowed. No refunds.

Kids 800m Turkey Fun Run Details:

• Starts at 8:30 AM.
• 2 laps around the blue track where the 5k begins.
• Heat 1: Kids under 5. Heat 2: Kids 5-12.

Registration & Packet Pick-up:

• Online registration closes Monday, November 23rd.
• In-person registration (cash/check only) at Morgantown Running during business hours.
• Packet pick-up: Wednesday, November 25th, 3pm-6pm at Morgantown Running.
• Day-of registration and packet pick-up: Thursday, November 26th, 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM at the Shell Building (behind the Coliseum).

Donations:

Donations of gently-used men's clothing, belts, shoes, and non-perishable proteins are accepted at Morgantown Running for Christian Help.
