Time: 8:00AM - 10:00AM MST

Description: The Mountaineer 5k is a 5-kilometer race organized by the Summit Academy Parent Teacher Organization. We welcome runners, walkers, and strollers, but no pets allowed. The race benefits Summit Academy Mountaineers. We also want to raise health and fitness awareness, and this is a great opportunity to start or continue your wellness journey!

Registration Cost:

• Now - January 18, 2026: $25.00
• January 19, 2026 - February 18, 2026: $35.00
• February 19, 2026 - March 18, 2026: $45.00
• March 19, 2026 - March 28, 2026: $50.00

Packet Pickup:

• Friday, March 27, 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM at Summit Academy Junior High
• Race day, March 28, starting at 6:30 AM

Course: Starts at Summit Academy Junior High track, one loop around the track, then onto the canal, finishing at the Junior High track.

Race Day Information: No roller blades, skateboards, or motorized devices allowed. Race happens rain or shine; no refunds or transfers due to weather. Race starts promptly at 8:00 AM. Parking available at Desert Oasis parking lot, Summit Academy parking lot, or on the street.
